Hotel Guest En 9-dic-2013:
Hotel was good in general. Room was generally clean, did find specks of blood on single duvet but we didn't use that bed. Bathroom was clean. Don't like the throws and cushions personally as I think they are dirty and not changed/washed from one guest to another checking in. Food was good. Breakfast staff very helpful, esp with baby, anticipated our needs. Seems very well organised and plenty. We did eat early, no rush of guests at the same time. We ordered the daily special in the restaurant one night and it was tasty, chicken potato and tomato based sauce. No veg with the dish which was disappointing for me. My husband ordered chips and they never arrived. Elevator was broken but kind reception stored our buggy in the luggage room. think the location details are misleading as you are not as close to amenities as you say online. No parking at anytime in the hotel, however we were lucky to get parking on Burlington Road. Yes I would recommend.
Hotel Guest En 9-dic-2013:
Always spotless, convenient, quiet, and friendly. This time was no different.
Hotel Guest En 9-dic-2013:
Room very good and staff particularly excellent. Thankyou, I will come again.
Hotel Guest En 5-dic-2013:
Breakfast was great, as was the free pint on check in for the rugby deal but it seemed to take a long time to check in and out and the staff didn't seem to rush!
clarence collins En 3-dic-2013:
great value and the staff very helpful, would recommend this hotel.IF I had a complaint it is that the bar closes early and only top shelf drinks available.
Peg pitzer En 1-dic-2013:
Nice clean quiet hotel that always pleases.
Hotel Guest En 1-dic-2013:
Lovely hotel, excellent location and great Irish breakfasts - what more can I say?
Hotel Guest En 30-nov-2013:
Quiet place. Very friendly staff.
Hotel Guest En 29-nov-2013:
Parking is a huge problem. Probably won't stay there again if I have a late arrival, I'll go somewhere with a car park.
Hotel Guest En 27-nov-2013:
The welcome at reception was great - but I found the room much too warm and the temp difficult to control.
Hotel Guest En 25-nov-2013:
LACK OF PARKING BIT OF A PROBLEM
Hotel Guest En 24-nov-2013:
enjoyed our stay in the Mespil. convenient to town and suited our needs ideally. breakfast fine . no problem recommending.
Iain McGregor En 21-nov-2013:
Excellent service and sorted out a number issues which would have otherwise led to a difficult stay. Look forward to my next trip to Dublin
Hotel Guest En 17-nov-2013:
We stayed at the Mespil Hotel for two nights on our recent trip to Dublin. This is the third time we have stayed there. We always find the staff helpful, the rooms are clean, and the bar is nice for a drink or a light meal. The breakfast in the Restaurant is very reasonable too. The Mespil is just so convenient, with local shops just around the corner for any required supplies, and a 20 minute walk into the city for all the tourist attractions. We will use the Mespil again, when we next travel to Dublin from Sydney (Australia.)
Linda Halley En 16-nov-2013:
Staff friendly helpfull in reception. Rooms clean comfortable food very good.
Evelyn Schneider En 12-nov-2013:
Bernadette Leahy En 10-nov-2013:
The rooms were great.Service was great. Dinner onthe Saturday night was fine but there was no atmosphere in the dining room - it was like a canteen! Also, the fish dish had no vegetables served with it and it could really have done with some potatoes. However, it was a very enjoyable stay for us all.
Christine Wilson En 7-nov-2013:
I have stayed at the Mespil several times now and always enjoy it. I like that it is tucked away yet reasonably central and that single travellers are given decent/good rooms rather than the box rooms by the lift shaft I usually get.
Hotel Guest En 7-nov-2013:
Everything was lovely Thanks.
GARY BEATTIE En 6-nov-2013:
I had a very enjoyable 2 nights' stay - the hotel's location was perfect in terms of the proximity to the start of the marathon (which is why I was in town). The room was excellent, the staff were very professional and courteous, the food was very good plus there was free parking to boot. Perfect - I'm a very satisfied customer and I will look forward to my next stay.
Hotel Guest En 6-nov-2013:
Excellent service as always and was delighted that the marathon participants were accommodated very well. The breakfast ran smoothly and every need was accommodated for. The location was perfect for the start and for the finish I hobbled back to the hotel which wasnt too far thank god. Thank you very much.
Hotel Guest En 5-nov-2013:
Stayed for the Dublin Marathon, everything was great for the runners especially the porridge and bananas at 6.30 am and the late check out at 4 pm so a recovery bath could be had, was good that I only had a 5 minute walk back to hotel from finish line
Hotel Guest En 4-nov-2013:

Inmaculada Lorenzo En 4-nov-2013:
You have to improve the amenities for the bath

Hotel Guest En 29-oct-2013:
my only negative comment was that the hotel was extremely overheated
Hotel Guest En 26-oct-2013:
For the price the hotel exceeded all expectations. It was clean, tidy and modern. The only minor issue was the fact that the heating was on all night and the room was quite warm making it hard to sleep but otherwise fantastic hotel! The breakfast the next morning was superb. All round great stay.
Hotel Guest En 25-oct-2013:
I would have liked if a complimentary evening meal had being provided as part of booking package
Allan Campbell En 25-oct-2013:
Would be nice to have a Mini bar in the rooms so that one could store some milk / cool drink etc and not have to always order such a small item from downstairs late at night.
Hotel Guest En 24-oct-2013:
Check in was smooth and front desk associates were very cordial. Our rooms were very nice and clean but were in the front of the building so there was some noise in the evening. We felt the room comfortable, went out to dinner with relatives and came back to a room that felt like a sauna. My only request would be that housekeeping checks the settings on them when cleaning. We chose Mespil because it was close to relatives work and also close enough to the airport for our departure the next day. On your website it says that a taxi ride is approximately 40 Euro but we were pleasantly surprised that if booked thru the front desk, it was only 2 Euro. All in all we were very pleased, and would return for a night or two when in Dublin.
Hotel Guest En 23-oct-2013:
Overall very good.
Heinz Schuster En 22-oct-2013:
Sehr ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Ich würde in Dublin wieder im Mespil Hotel absteigen.
Hotel Guest En 21-oct-2013:
Clean and comfortable hotel
Hotel Guest En 20-oct-2013:
Hotel location is ideal, nice area and close to the city. The Hotel itself is fine, water was a little cold in the shower. When you compare the prices of this hotel to others its certainly not bad value. Only downside is lack of parking a few residents got clamped while we were there.
Hotel Guest En 17-oct-2013:
Had a great stay at this hotel. Comfortable and clean, great amenities and really friendly and helpful staff
Hotel Guest En 17-oct-2013:
Nice hotel and rooms, but got caught out when checking out. Requested in my currency and realised the conversion rate was extremely poor. Apart from that, very good
carlos perez En 12-oct-2013:
The canal and surrounding areas are beautiful. Hotel reception and public areas are fine, hallways to our room a bit creepy, but the room is really great. Comfy beds, pillows ok, and excellent bath/shower. Staff: efficient, professional and easygoing. I will be back.
Mark Hogan En 9-oct-2013:
Staff were very helpful and courteous. Hotel is listed as 4*, but could do we modernising/refurbishment internally. I stayed in the hotel for 1 week. The breakfast every morning was the exact same. Would recommend having a chef in the breakfast area making fresh omelletes or pancakes or something different for guests to choose from.
Hotel Guest En 8-oct-2013:
Good location, good room, excellent service, good food
David Eder En 8-oct-2013:
Really welcoming, great room and breakfast Would give you 4.5 if poss, the .5 off is because the shower wasn't great - no water pressure on the top floor I think so got warm dribble or cold gush
Patrick Towers En 8-oct-2013:
I appreciated the courteous efficiency of the staff upon arriving. My room was perfect for my stay. It was quiet, comfortable and spacious. The evening food in the bar was quickly served in a pleasant ambience suitable for the single guest. Breakfast was well served at 7am and I did not have to wait to be checked out. A hotel I will recommend to any visitor to Dublin.
mary hennessy En 7-oct-2013:
The mespil is a great hotel have stayed there many times and the service and staff are always great, any problems are taken care of a.s.a.p. (hardly any to report). It is in a great location only a short walk to the city centre, so I'd say a winner all around.
Garth Scholtz En 7-oct-2013:
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to an apartment and had more than adequate comforts. There we far too many wrong entries on the invoice though (3 breakfasts instead of 2, 80 EUR for 2 x 3 day city tickets...). I was left a bit disappointed that I could have ended up spending 50 to 60 EUR more than what I should have if I didn't thoroughly check the invoice.
Hotel Guest En 6-oct-2013:
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean although the service staff never replaced our used glasses with clean ones. Close to some bus pick-ups. 15min walk to Trinity College area. Good value; we would stay here again.
