Very average hotel. Nothing made them stand out. The breakfast wasnt included and was expensive. Something I really disliked was having to go up one floor cross the hotel then go back down a floor to get to my room due to construction. The people were nice and tried to be helpful, but they didn't seem too familiar with the immediate area. All in all the experience was very average.

This hotel is not the newest one, not the most glamerous one, being a business hotel: but it is blessed with a kind and engaging staff who make every effort for the comfort of their guests. Accomodations are very adequate and the staff makes the differerance.

10 minute walk to the very centre of Dublin. Clean and spacious room. Exactly what we were after. If we stay in Dublin again, it'll be at the Mespil.

Room was too hot, whilst I turned the radiator off, I could not open the window wide enough to cool the room down. Noise from cupboard in bathroom (think it was a soil pipe for rooms above) was annoying. Lack of respect from other residents, a spanish group decided to have a heated discussion outside my room at 12.30am for 20 minutes.

We had a wonderful stay at Mespil. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help with reservations for plays, bus tours, and dinners. The concierge recommended a wonderful restaurant down the street called Asador. We went twice!! The food was amazing and the restaurant had great ambience and you can't beat the location! Great service also. The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed breakfast very much. There were plenty of options and they were all very tasty. The restaurant downstairs was very convenient when we'd been out all day and didn't feel like going out again. On Sunday evenings, there was wonderful Irish music, which we enjoyed very much. Overall, a truly wonderful stay.

The hotel was perfectly located, we had no issues walking to and from downtown! It was nice that there were also tours that picked up at the hotel. Additionally, we let the hotel know that it was my birthday during my stay, and they left a lovely little surprise in the room! All in all, very comfortable and clean, would stay again.

Great location. Easy access to coffee shops/banks and bus routes to the city centre. Appreciated the vegetarian fare at breakfast. The room was being warmed at the time I checked in. Nice gesture.

Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. I didn't eat in the hotel other than room service sandwich which was good. The room itself was somewhat tired - I asked for non-smoking but the corridor and the room smelt vaguely of an era when smoking had been allowed - it lingers. The bathroom needs a total makeover - the water volume from the shower in particular was very weak. I would use the hotel again - it is well-priced and well-located for ease of access to city cenre and to family I was visiting.

I already mailed your comment card stating my one major complaint: a very weak shower that kept shutting down: 8 times within 10 minutes! A request that maintenance check this out was taken care of promptly, but I did not use the shower again before I checked out. Otherwise, everything about the room was pretty good.

I am aware that the check out time is 12 but at only 5 past 12, I received a call asking me what time I was thinking of checking out. The person on the phone was very polite about the whole thing but at the same time, it was evident that she wanted me out of there and I felt under pressure and rushed.

I booked into the Mespil because of its location. I had mentioned in the comments section that a friend and I were staying because our kids had just been through 2 weeks of the vomiting bug, so could we have a quiet room. We were pleasantly surprised when they gave us the keys to the Executive Suite! What a treat! The service was terrific as was the breakfast. We'll definitely be back! Thanks!

A great place to stay in Dublin. Great value, great service. I arrived at the airport at 5.15 am on an overnight flight from the US. Although check-in was not until the afternoon, the hotel checked me in and gave me a room. By 6.30am I was showered and in bed for a much-needed nap!! I cannot rate the staff highly enough - extremely helpful. The hotel is very comfortable. It is in close walking distance of Grafton St, St Stephen's Green, Trinity College. Coffee shops, restaurants, pubs all on the same street as the hotel - just a minute away. You can get a bus from the airport to a stop close by, then just have a short walk to the hotel - fine if you have carryon luggage or one suitcase. I recommend this place.

Hotel bien situe, chambre tres spatieuse (parfaite pour sejour en famille.) Personnel tres disponible. On a même pu profiter d'un mini concert de musique folk irlandaise. Tres bon choix !

I thought the hotel and my hotel room were lovely and clean. The room was very comfortable and I had dinner there that evening and couldnt fault it. The staff were really friendly. Any staff member that I met either at reception or on the corridor all were extremely pleasant which I think is a great trait in hotel. I will be returning to the Mespil.

A. Upon arrival we were given a room on the fourth floor which was a handy cap room and appeared dirty and a bit worn (carpet). The view was looking down on the parking lot which we didn't find very appealing especially since we were staying for four nights. After talking to the staff we were moved to a room on the second floor which was much better. The parking arrangements are a joke. There should be some kind of arrangements made for customers to park around the hotel at other locations. Maybe Mespil should talk to some of the businesses around the area and arrange to use there parking at night. Something! Other than that we had a good stay at Mespil. We used the on site bar and restaurant which was nice.

Stayed here overnight with my daughter when we were in Dublin to see The Lion King. It was very good value for one night and we had a lovely room. It was modern and clean and ticked all the boxes. It was walking distance to the grand canal theatre too. Didn't use the bar or restaurant but looked nice.

It was lovely; the service is nice. But I was very surprised finding that there were no toothbrush free and included in the prize. The room was really cute; nevertheless, in the street there was a parking and the windows seem to be not very isolated. But it was really pleasant to stay in Mespil and of course I will recommend it to my friends!

I had to go upstairs, along and down again to get to my room which seemed a little odd but was not a problem. The room was tidy and clean and I slept well. I didn't get around to mentioning it at the time but the sink did not drain very well. We had an early start on the Saturday but the restaurant staff were very Germanic in not letting us in before the official breakfast opening time of 7. The bar staff were friendly but I thought on a Friday and Saturday it could have stayed open later than midnight.

I did fill in a feedback card! The hotel staff were very professional and welcoming. The room whilst clean, smelled of cigarettes and the adjoining door to the next room allowed noise and smells to permeate. I do need to stay in Dublin regularly and these concerns would sway my decision to return to the Mespil.

Lovely hotel had a room at the back with no view but it was very quiet.The room was pleasant and clean as was the hotel itself and the staff where very polite, as a frequent visitor to Dublin I normally stay elsewhere however I was impressed with the Mespil and am just to book a further stay

having tea making facilities down stairs is a little inconvenient...much better to also include in rooms...excellent shuttle service to/from airport....staff very friendly and courteous...very clean and perfectly located for airport....easy access by train from city

Our stay there was restful, the staff friendly and the pizza in the bar very tasty. Great location, close to the excitement but still in a peaceful area. I would recommend to others visiting Dublin. Also the croissants were good.

I stay at this hotel on a very regular basis. The staff are most courteous, the hotel has a quite calm atmosphere, so close to the city centre this is rare indeed.The new free wifi is a great idea.A loyalty card that would include some priority for the limited car parking would be a great idea.

On my booking form I was told the room charge was 97.14 euros but when I paid for the room on leaving I was charged 100 euros, I didnt mind as it was well worth it and in hindsight it could well have been the currency rate for that day. Staff where polite and helpful at all times. Would definately return to your hotel again.

Pound for pound the best hotel in Dublin. Great location for exploring the city centre, easy to get in and out, free car parking and excellent facilities. The only hotel for me every time I stay in Dublin.

Good clean hotel in good location Reception didnt know a pub called Smiths where I'd arranged to meet a pal ...........despite being a few hundred yards up the road after I went outside to ask. A good receptionist knows their area!

The heating was very high and we couldn't open the window because it was too noisy. Maybe a temperature regulator would help. The rest of the services were great. nice breakfast and very polite people.
