The hotel is ideally located in nice part of Dublin along the Grand Canal. The rooms are nice, staff friendly and bar food was good. Above all the price was excellent including the free parking.

Happy at the Mespil. The dinner specials were great. Pity about the small measure of port served. Great to have the canal for a run. Shame the airport is not closer but I'll check the Mespil again. Thank you.

The stay was really nice. Rooms was nice, clean and big. The breakfast in the morning was lovely! The bar and food in the evenings was also very good. I will definately stay here again.

We checked in early so took advantage of the free car park which is a blessing in Central Dublin. the car park is quite small so people arriving later had to go elsewhere. Good location, clean, average looking room , friendly staff, view over canal. Terrible shower pressure

I think the hotel was rather expensive if compared to its standard; the overall cleanness was not very good, especially the bathroom.

Everything OK. friendly staff, clean room, good facilities, nice dinner... just a matter: nobody could speak spanish! this is why I could not score 5.

We had a very nice stay, location is ideal. Easy access to shops, pubs and the gaiety theatre!! Staff very friendly and hotel warm and comfortable. Breakfast was great value and no rushing us out!!

internet access stimks. my time was used up because i did not log out, just turned off ipad as i have done every where else. NO ONE TOLD ME AND CLERK WAS VERY SARCASTIC. the entire staff was very impersonal

The room rate was reasonable for the location but the rooms were very dated and front desk staff were unpleasant. I'm not encouraged to stay again.

We were delighted with our welcome, parking facilities were adequate - clean, bright and cheerful throughout. Proximity to everything was a major plus. Food was lovely & we will certainly be returning.

They were more than accomodating for our extra early arrival. The location is nice, great italian restaurant nearby. Walk to town is easy. Definitely would stay there again

This was an absolutely great hotel! Location was perfect - central to many transport routes and attractions - price pretty good - and staff very nice and helpful - room was clean, good size and well furnished. We were so happy and relaxed while there! Pub also good atmosphere! Would definitely recommend to anyone (and already have!)

There ought to be a safe in the room. My wallet got stolen at Arlingtons since I was afraid to leave it in my room (due to the lack of safe there and the risk for burglary). But this turned out to be a stupid decision...

This was my 3rd visit to Dublin from Canada in the past 4 years. The inn I usually stay in was booked so I decided to give Mespil a try. I had heard great things about the hotel plus it is close to the area I prefer to stay in. My stay was comfortable, the staff was helpful and polite, the restaurant food was tastey and I over all i would recommend this hotel to others. In fact, I will likely be staying here on my next visit to Dublin. My only recommendation would be, once the economy improves, to begin updating the beds. Although comfy, they were a bit tired.

An extremely friendly atmosphere was provided with efficient yet personal service. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard with all modern comforts provided. The only fault was that the bathroom was very cold and draughty - no relaxing in a warm bath.

I stayed with seven other friends to attend a rugby match. The hotel is close to the Aviva stadium.The accomodation and service was excellent.Food and drink in the bar and restaurant was reasonably priced and of good quality.We will certainly use this hotel again.

WE stayed for my wifes 50th birthday and asked for a room over looking the canal and we got this which was a super room will be back again even though we only live 1 mile from the hotel here in Rathgar

Parking was a problem as we could not get parking in the hotel car park. It's a real pain to have to keep poring money into pay and display tickets and having to worry about tickets for the following morning. Aside from that everything was fine.

A lovely well kept hotel with friendly and helpful staff. However the parking situation was a massive let down. It cost me €40 to park on the street due to limited parking provided by the hotel, surely the hotel can make an agreement with the local authorities to make concessions for people staying at this hotel. Otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.

The Mespil was in a beautiful area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The location was convenient and we couldn't have asked for a better place for our first night in Dublin.

Excellent location, we were able to leave our car in the hotel carpark for the duration of our stay. The room was spacious, comfortable and above all clean. This is our second time staying at the Mespil and we would certainly stay there again.

was attending a wedding at 2pm and girl on reception was very helpful and let us have our room for 1pm which was great. Brerakfast good.

After making my booking i found the staff so helpiful with any enquries via email and phone. I would def stay here ragain everyone was very helpiful and the room was nice and warm. We were very impressed.

fab loacation bars etc nearby..clean tidy hotel...nice bar area etc...took payment from my credit card twice and ended up £10.00 stirling out of pocket so check....but can recommend

breakfast orange juice - Really ! Do you realise that folks have Tropicana or fresh Orange juice these days.......... What the hell waz that - Squeeze? Nostalgic yes but awful.......

The Mespil Hotel is in a very convenient location for my office and close to the city centre and therefore is my first choice for midweek overnight stays. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and rooms are spacious. I have no hesitation in recommending the Mespil to anyone.
