  • Is there car parking at the hotel?

Mespil Hotel offers limited complimentary car parking to hotel residents and this is operated on a first come, first served basis. The Mespil Hotel does not guarantee car parking for residents. If the car park is full, there is on street parking available in the area (pay and display)

  • What time is check in?

Check in is from 15:00pm

  • What time is check out?

Check out is at 12:00pm

  • Do you offer Early Check-in?

We do not currently offer early check-in. If you call our front desk, we will do our best to facilitate your request though. You are very welcome to leave your luggage with us if your room is not ready when you arrive to the hotel.

  • Is there a Gym in the hotel?

We have a fitness suite in the hotel. The Mespil Hotel Fitness Suite is open daily between 6.30am – 9pm and is open for hotel residents (over 18s) only. The gym offers a mixture of cardio and resistance equipment.

  • Do you offer Airport Transfers?

We do not offer a shuttle service to & from the airport. You can take a taxi from the airport to the Mespil hotel which will take 40 minutes & costs €30.00 one way.

The most convenient method of transport to the hotel involves taking the Aircoach, as it is the nearest drop off point to the hotel.
Take the Aircoach - Lepardstown Route, servicing City Centre/ Stillorgan / Sandyford / Lepardstown.
The bus will stop outside the Clayton Burlington Hotel, walk in the same direction as the bus was going and take the first left on to Burlington Road. Walk down Burlington Road and follow as it bends to the left.You will see Burlington Plaza on the right hand side and the Mespil Hotel will be the last building on your right. The main entrance to the hotel is on Mespil Road facing the Grand Canal.
The Aircoach operates 24hours, with limited service between midnight and 5am.
Fare price: Adult €8.00 single / €13.50 return, children aged 5-12 €1.50 single / €3.00 return

  • What amenities do you have available in your rooms?

All rooms have the following available for use by our guests:

  • An iron and ironing board
  • A hairdryer 
  • Rituals’ Shampoo, Conditioner and Bodywash
  • 2 complimentary bottles of water replaced daily.
  • Each room also has a small fridge; however, we also have a freezer and fridge downstairs in the reception which we use to store medications for guests. You are more than welcome to avail of this service.
  • We also have a laundry service available. This operates Monday-Saturday and once the items are dropped down to reception by 9am, they will be returned that same day. The laundry is charged per item.
  • USB charging ports in our Superior Rooms.
  • Nespresso Coffee Machine
  • Chromecast 

We also provide the following at reception if needed:

  • Dublin Maps
  • US adaptor conversions (5 Euro Deposit)
  • Umbrellas (10 Euro Deposit)

  • Does the Mespil Hotel have Disabled Access?

Yes. All our public areas are wheelchair accessible and we have 1 disabled public toilet off our lobby next to the restaurant. We have lifts to all our floors and 3 wheelchair accessible rooms in our hotel. 

All wheelchair accessible rooms have king beds only except for one which have twin beds and have the following features:

  • The distance between the base a of bed with wheels and floor is 4cm
  • Both the bedroom and the bathroom are wheelchair accessible.
  • The size of the bedroom’s door surround is 90cm
  • The size of the bathroom door is 80cm
  • The size from the bath ledge to the floor is 18"4’ or 47cm
  • There are grab bars in the bath of room 260 
  • Do you provide a laundry service?

We do indeed have laundry facilities here at the hotel. The service is provided through an external company, Monday-Saturday, once it has been dropped down to the reception desk by 9am, it will be returned that same day. It is charged per item.

  • Do you provide travel cots for babies?

Yes, we do provide a travel cot for babies aged between the ages of 1 – 3 years old. Due to EU law, we do not provide any foam mattress or lining with our travel cots. (EN 16890:2017)

  • Do you have a spa?

Unfortunately, we do not have spa facilities at the Hotel, but we can recommend the following:

  • Does the Mespil Hotel have any Boardrooms or Meeting rooms?

Yes, the Mespil Hotel has two boardrooms ideal for smaller meetings of up to 16 people.

Both The Kavanagh and The Wilton are fully air conditioned and boast modern business facilities, good natural light and complimentary 1GB high speed Wi-Fi. The Kavanagh Boardroom, located on the first floor, also offers views over the Grand Canal.

  • How do you get around Dublin City Centre?

Getting around Dublin is easy. So depending on where you want to go there are few different options on our door step.

Public transport
There are a variety of public transport options within walking distance to Mespil Hotel.

Dublin Bus 
When taking a Dublin Bus you will need exact change for the fare as the driver does not have any change or you can buy a Leap card in a local              shop (such as Maxol Petrol Station located across from our front entrance).

The following bus routes depart from stop number 7333 located just across from The Lounge Bar at Mespil Hotel, in front of ‘Connaught House’.

  • 38a/b/c/d Towards Damastown – this bus goes directly through the city center. If you are looking to get to Grafton Street stop at ‘Dawson Street/Nassau Street’ or O’Connell Street stop at ‘O’Connell Street/Henry Street’.

  • 39/x towards Ongar – this bus also goes through the city center. If you are looking to get to Grafton Street of Trinity College/Book of Kells stop at ‘Dawson Street/Nassau Street’, if you are looking to visit the National Gallery/National Library/National Museum hop off at ‘Leinster Street South/Clare Street’ and all are within a few minutes’ walk.

  • 70 towards Dunboyne - this bus also goes through the city center. If you are looking to get to Grafton Street of Trinity College/Book of Kells stop at ‘Dawson Street/Nassau Street’, if you are looking to visit the National Gallery/National Library/National Museum hop off at ‘Leinster Street South/Clare Street’ and all are within a few minutes’ walk

The Luas 
Mespil Hotel is just a short walk away from the Luas ‘Green Line’ which travels from ‘Brides Glen’ to ‘Broombridge’. This line travels through notable        stops Ranelagh, Dundrum, St Stephen’s Green, Trinity College and O’Connell Street. Catch the Luas at the Charlemont stop, just ten minutes from          Mespil Hotel. Tickets can be bought at the Luas stop or you may also use a Leap card, just remember to tap on and tap off! 

The Dart
The closes Dart stations to the Mespil Hotel are Grand Canal Station and Lansdowne Road Station. From these stations you can get a dart to                  Malahide, Bray, Greystone, Howth and Dun Laoghaire. Tickets for the dart can be bought at the dart station. 

Taxi 
There is a taxi rank is located at the hotel entrance or the Front Desk can assist organising one.

Dublin Bike 
The Dublin bikes system is a self-service bike rental system open to everyone over the age of 14.
From the Mespil Hotel the closest Dublin bike station is located by Baggot Street Bridge, which is only 2-minute walk for the hotel. The closest Dublin bike station that is credit card enabled is located by Leeson Street Bridge, 5-minutes’ walk from the hotel.
