We stayed at the Mespil twice on this trip--first, when we had just arrived, jet-lagged and exhausted, and then again at the end of our Connemara walking tour, one final day before our flight back. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and helped us store luggage, arrage a large taxi for our group of five, print online tickets. Overall, a very positive experience. The rooms were clean and large, the tubs were amazing (especially on the way back, after 2 weeks of small electric showers!). The breakfast was good and ample. The location is close enough to the central city to be walkable (takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the heart of downtown), but it's far enough from the main streets to be nice and quiet.

Will stay again absolutely no complaints. Staff very helpful. Rooms clean. Breakfast a bit basic but fine
Isabel Lopez de Carvalho on 21-lug-2015:
We repeat this year again and had a wonderful stay. A lovely room on the 5th floor. Really good the irish folk group that performed on Sayurday. Thank you++

Hotel Guest on 2-lug-2015:
Great room, great staff. Had food in the bar perfect. My only gripe is lack of car parking.

Satisfied with staff and food was great.

Very satisfied with with all aspects of the hotel.
Paul O'Donoghue on 27-giu-2015:
very welcoming, friendly staff, could not find a fault. Would recommend it to anyone. Also price very good. Thank you again for a lovely stay.
Hotel Guest on 21-giu-2015:
The staff were welcoming and efficient at check-in and also departure. Unfortunately front office staff do not necessarily agree with my belief in having AC units installed in Irish hotels. My room was very nicely furnished and spacious however it was not cool enough temperature wise and the window only narrowly opens so it did not help cool my room making it impossible to have a good nights sleep. shame...
sophie dickson on 21-giu-2015:
The hotel was lovely as was the room. The only problem I had was I had paid for an executive suite and I don't think that's what we stayed in as the room didn't match the description, as we expected a king size bed and didn't get this.
Franny Cotter on 16-giu-2015:
Check in was smooth and room was ready. Got car parking directly in front of reception which was a bonus. Rooms spacious and comfortable. breakfast was good. check out was quick.I would not hesitate to stay at the mespil in the future.
Hotel Guest on 14-giu-2015:
Wifi is horribly not working in both rooms where we are staying
Grainne Campbell on 13-giu-2015:
I stayed in a refurbished room which was beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and spacious layout. A comfortable bed, power shower in the morning and a good selection of options at breakfast. Centrally located in a leafy suburb...10 minute walk to town. Highly recommended.
Gary Jacobsen on 28-mag-2015:
A very nice experience at Mespil Hotel. Facilities are modern and clean. Staff is excellent, friendly and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better start off to our first trip to Ireland - we will be back!
Denis McDermott on 26-mag-2015:
Great location and friendly staff all over the hotel.Problem with the toilet seat and the coverings of the hand rail in the bath which were loose. Significant problem with the internet which kept dropping off which in this day and age seems very unusual-The provider neeeds to be spoken too. But would certainly come back and recommend the hotel.Denis McDermott
tina quigley on 20-mag-2015:
the only negative issue I had was the room was very cold and that when you closed the curtains there was loads of big holes in the curtain beside the tv.
Hotel Guest on 19-mag-2015:
Room very nice, breakfast good. My only complaints would be too much heat in room and coffee was not very good. Otherwise, I thought it was a very nice hotel and very clean.
Jane Manning on 17-mag-2015:
The room was fantastic and the bed was really comfortable. Ideal location just a short walk from the town centre and historic locations.
margaret fox on 10-mag-2015:

lovely seating area in room
Hotel Guest on 24-apr-2015:
I would like to commend and thank your housekeeping and reception staff on duty on 22 April - I mislaid a set of cufflinks, which I subsequently located in my car. The staff were diligent and courteous in helping me with the search. Thanks. Tom
Noreen O'Callaghan on 14-apr-2015:

Barry Moore on 6-apr-2015:
We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at the hotel. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Also, the nice chilled atmosphere in the lobby and bar was perfect as well. Room was ideal for us too. Location was perfect as a taxi wasn't that expensive to the bars and nightclubs. We will definantly be back. Thank you
Lyne Bacasmas on 4-apr-2015:
The hotel was fabulous, great location right at the centre of Dublin. Breakfast was tasty we all love it. This hotel offers family package for a family of 5 at a good value for money. Our room was spacious. Most of all, the staff were friendly, helpful, pleasant and polite. THANKS for the hospitality. We will definitely comeback to Dublin and stay again at this hotel. I will recommend you guys to all my friends and families. Keep up the good work!
Hotel Guest on 2-apr-2015:
Excellent, attentive staff. While there are areas of the hotel that could do with a bit of refreshing the extra lengths the staff went to more than made up for it.
Hotel Guest on 31-mar-2015:
The executive room was excellent
Ciaran Mc Sweeney on 25-mar-2015:
The newly refurbished rooms are extermely comfortable and th staff very friendly to deal with.

Hotel Guest on 20-mar-2015:
Corridors could do with refurbishing but rooms are nice but all other aspects I experienced were good.
Hotel Guest on 17-mar-2015:
Loved my stay here! I stayed for 5 nights around St. Patrick's day. Ask for the executive rooms--they are newly updated and very nice, for just a little bit more per night. The hotel terrace bar is nice for lunch/dinner if you don't feel like getting out--food is pretty good and it's cozy. Location wise, it's a bit of a walk into city center, but not that far, and there are lots of pubs and things to see along the way. I never felt the need to take a taxi, as I really do like to walk. A great hidden wine bar/restaurant gem around the corner from the hotel, on Baggot, is a place called Bloom Brasserie; also Searson's pub is near the hotel. Very good--busy (in a good way) on Friday nights.
Hotel Guest on 11-mar-2015:
Clean room, friendly staff. Undergoing work in the hotel but it didn't impact my stay
Hotel Guest on 9-mar-2015:
Painting was going on while I was checking in, no reference made to this by reception staff . Strong smell of paint in room overnight. Breakfast was adequate at €9 for continental. Convenient to town , function in Ely place. No tissues / no laundry bag / insufficient toilet paper - literally one in room. Internet good
Hotel Guest on 9-mar-2015:
The room was dated and could do with some small DIY here and there, which I believe is the next step as they were doing renovations on the other side of the floor we were staying on. Overall, it was very clean and we enjoyed a good nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. We were charged €109 for room only on a Sat night, which I felt was a slight bit over the top in its current condition, even for the location. €99 would of been more appropriate I think. However, I believe when the renovations are complete €109 will be too little! Good Luck with everything!
James boyle on 9-mar-2015:
The show was not working properly. very low pressure and either too hot of too cold. The room was really nice.
CIARA MCGOWAN on 8-mar-2015:
Lovely newly decorated room ... very friendly staff.... not a huge selection at breakfast but everything you need ... and all fresh ... definitely would stay there again
Richard Marlow on 8-mar-2015:
All good, comfortable room, welcoming staff. Breakfast good, except for that damn conveyor belt toaster which just does not work. We can put men on the moon, but a hotel toaster cannot make toast, just warm bread.
martin mc grath on 2-mar-2015:
hotel room was fine as expected. price of E215 plusE12 per head is too expensive. would not regard this as value for money and would be reluctant to book in the future
Hotel Guest on 1-mar-2015:
Room was lovely and comfortable and very clean. Thought there was quite a lot of noise at night alrighton corridor but that would be only complaint.
Hotel Guest on 27-feb-2015:
Warm welcome and pleasant stay.
Arthur Atkinson on 20-feb-2015:
Reception team is really great, very polite, easy to work with, kind upgraded me (!!) and check out was very efficient. The new room (406) is super comfy but the water pressure isn't good and the fall of the tiles in the wet shower is wrong meaning its messy and additional work for housekeeping. I work as a director at CBRE across the road and we love your hotel :-))) A
