Stayed here overnight with my daughter when we were in Dublin to see The Lion King. It was very good value for one night and we had a lovely room. It was modern and clean and ticked all the boxes. It was walking distance to the grand canal theatre too. Didn't use the bar or restaurant but looked nice.
Hotel Guest on 11-mag-2013:
It was lovely; the service is nice. But I was very surprised finding that there were no toothbrush free and included in the prize. The room was really cute; nevertheless, in the street there was a parking and the windows seem to be not very isolated. But it was really pleasant to stay in Mespil and of course I will recommend it to my friends!

I had to go upstairs, along and down again to get to my room which seemed a little odd but was not a problem. The room was tidy and clean and I slept well. I didn't get around to mentioning it at the time but the sink did not drain very well. We had an early start on the Saturday but the restaurant staff were very Germanic in not letting us in before the official breakfast opening time of 7. The bar staff were friendly but I thought on a Friday and Saturday it could have stayed open later than midnight.

I did fill in a feedback card! The hotel staff were very professional and welcoming. The room whilst clean, smelled of cigarettes and the adjoining door to the next room allowed noise and smells to permeate. I do need to stay in Dublin regularly and these concerns would sway my decision to return to the Mespil.

Lovely hotel had a room at the back with no view but it was very quiet. The room was pleasant and clean as was the hotel itself and the staff where very polite, as a frequent visitor to Dublin I normally stay elsewhere however I was impressed with the Mespil and am just to book a further stay

Stanza accogliente e pulita, personale disponibile. La posizione è buona per raggiungere il centro a piedi.

The Mespil hotel is comfortable, clean, quiet and located in a perfect place for visiting Dublin. The people are very nice. Good quality-price ratio.
Rosemary Pearce on 28-apr-2013:
Our stay there was restful, the staff friendly and the pizza in the bar very tasty. Great location, close to the excitement but still in a peaceful area. I would recommend to others visiting Dublin. Also the croissants were good.

I stay at this hotel on a very regular basis. The staff are most courteous, the hotel has a quite calm atmosphere, so close to the city centre this is rare indeed. The new free wifi is a great idea.A loyalty card that would include some priority for the limited car parking would be a great idea.

Personnel très agréable et très serviable. Chambre propre.
Hotel Guest on 22-apr-2013:
On my booking form I was told the room charge was 97.14 euros but when I paid for the room on leaving I was charged 100 euros, I didnt mind as it was well worth it and in hindsight it could well have been the currency rate for that day. Staff where polite and helpful at all times. Would definately return to your hotel again.

Pound for pound the best hotel in Dublin. Great location for exploring the city centre, easy to get in and out, free car parking and excellent facilities. The only hotel for me every time I stay in Dublin.

Good clean hotel in good location Reception didnt know a pub called Smiths where I'd arranged to meet a pal ...........despite being a few hundred yards up the road after I went outside to ask. A good receptionist knows their area!
Hotel Guest on 15-apr-2013:
Stayed at the Mespril before and enjoyed it both times
Sara Carabantes on 15-apr-2013:
The heating was very high and we couldn't open the window because it was too noisy. Maybe a temperature regulator would help. The rest of the services were great. nice breakfast and very polite people.

Hotel Guest on 14-apr-2013:
Friday early morning woken and kept awake by noise of loading laundry was most unwelcome
John Gleeson on 14-apr-2013:
Room was great. Bar was very cosy and friendly. Staff very helpful
Hotel Guest on 12-apr-2013:
Everything as I wished and expected it to be; the only negative is the poor quailty of the coffee that is served in a stainless steel pot at the breakfast table. However, this is the norm in Irish hotels. Location of hotel is great and value for money also.
Ian Bonner on 9-apr-2013:
Stayed with you years ago thought I would check it out , very impressed with the standard now and I'm just about to book it for next week again
Hotel Guest on 6-apr-2013:
Our stay was comfortable and we had no issues on with our stay.
Hotel Guest on 6-apr-2013:
Hotel was great, did not have the breakfast, a little outside of town but only a 10-15min walk. Easy connection via bus into the centre.
Hotel Guest on 5-apr-2013:
Stayed in this hotel for one night in late March, The room was clean, spacious and had every thing available in the room to make my stay like home from home - free tea and coffee, free parking, free wi-fi. It is also situated a short walking distance from Grafton Street. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Hotel Guest on 4-apr-2013:
Very friendly and we had a lovely time!
Ian Thomas on 3-apr-2013:
The hotel was in a great location. Not right in the middle of town, but not too far out that it wasn't easy to get into town wither by walking, taxi or local public transport. The staff were all very pleasant, always smiled and were more than happy to help with any queries we had. The rooms were clean, well maintained and very presentable. For the cost I was not expecting as good a room as we got. They were cleaned daily and to an excelelnt standard. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay and when I next visit the city, I will look to re-book into this hotel before anywhere else.

I stayed for 1 night on Fri of St. Patricks weekend so hotel was very busy. Staff were extremely efficient & pleasant . Room perfect . Great location - would definitely consider staying in Mespil Hotel again.

Lisa Duggan on 11-mar-2013:
Lovely comfortable hotel and very friendly staff. I left my charger behind and it was waiting in an envelope for me when I returned for it. Overall great experience and food was excellent also.
Hotel Guest on 11-mar-2013:
Not luxurious, but a pretty good standard hotel in a good location for a reasonable price
Oonagh McGarry on 11-mar-2013:
Brilliant Value for Money. Stayed there when attending a gig at the Aviva. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a 5 was because of the towels (which were hard, grey and raggie) and the lack of secure parking ( but I appreciate that is to be expected given its proximity to the city centre)
Hotel Guest on 10-mar-2013:
We were very pleased with the Mespil Hotel. The bedroom, the service and cleanliness were excellent. The only negative comment is that, as we enjoy reading in bed, we found the bedside lights rather dim.
Hotel Guest on 10-mar-2013:
I have stayed at the Mespil on business over the last two years and found all aspects of the service from arrival at reception, to eating in the bar a great experience.
Dermot Bohan on 10-mar-2013:
We had a very good stay at the Mespil. The room rate was very competitive and very good value. As a family of five, we always have difficult fining a hotel room to accommodate us. The Mespil offers family rooms and when we arrived all the beds, including the couch were fully dressed which meant we didn’t have to spend anytime reconfiguring the room or calling housekeeping. I will definitely stay there again.
Hotel Guest on 9-mar-2013:
The reception desk seemed stressed and occasionally there was only one person on the desk who seem overwhelmed and therefore unable to deal with all guests pleasantly
Hotel Guest on 8-mar-2013:
I stay here quite a lot. Staff impress me most and it's not hit and miss. The Mespil is very, very dependable.
Hotel Guest on 7-mar-2013:
Excellent service throughout.

Simon Watt on 27-feb-2013:
Friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere in the bar and the hotel in general. Breakfast more than ample and the food in bar excellent.
Hotel Guest on 26-feb-2013:
Have stayed now for two weeks, perfect location for business trip, restaurant is good, staff are friendly. Room I stayed in was a little worn but had a fresh coat of paint. For the price no complaints
Hotel Guest on 25-feb-2013:
very happy with my stay in the Mespil a 5.
